Getting Started
Learn how to install and configure the ALPR Database.
Introduction
This application is a comprehensive database system designed to store and manage Automatic License Plate Recognition (ALPR) data from Blue Iris security systems using CodeProject AI.
This guide will walk you through the setup process step by step. You may need to use the command line to install the software, but the process is straightforward and should take about 20 minutes to complete.
Requirements
Before installing, ensure you have the following:
- An existing Blue Iris system
- Working ALPR recognitions in Blue Iris with CodeProject or DeepStack
Decide How You Would Like to Deploy
You can install on any of these systems. A Linux based machine will be the most reliable and performant, but installing on the same machine as your Blue Iris system is perfectly fine as well.
Linux Server or VM
Recommended: Install on a separate Linux system for better reliability and performance.
Same System as Blue Iris
Install directly on your Blue Iris Windows machine. Simplest setup but may be less reliable.
Unraid
Install on Proxmox, Unraid, or other virtualization platforms for flexible deployment.
Portainer
Install on Proxmox, Unraid, or other virtualization platforms for flexible deployment.
