AI Model Training
Learn how to generate training data sets from your recognitions to improve the ALPR model.
Introduction
Participating in community-driven training is entirely optional, but highly encouraged. By enabling AI training, you will significantly improve the recognition accuracy for your system while contributing to the development of the ALPR model for all CodeProject users.
You may choose to specify a name in your AI settings within the app to be recognized for your contributions to the AI model.
How AI Training Works in the ALPR Database
Generation
When you enable AI training, the application will use your recognitions to generate specifically formatted data that can be used to train the ALPR model. This data includes:
- Raw license plate images
- AI Predictions
- Prediction metadata
- Environmental metadata
Your personal data like known plate information, vehicle details, and custom tags are never shared or included in the training data. Your recognitions are never publicly accesible and are only used by the AI developers.
Data Collection
Generated training data is anonymously sent to the cloud and aggregated with contributions from other users. This diverse dataset includes images from different locations, times of day, and camera setups.
Model Training
The AI developers use this data to train and improve the accuracy of the AI models.
